Egypt's President Highlights True Aim of Israel's Military Action in Gaza Strip
Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip are not aimed at fighting Hamas but rather at displacing Palestinians, stated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, according to TASS.
He emphasized that attempts to resettle Palestinians in Sinai could embroil Egypt in a conflict with Israel.
It is noteworthy that on October 7, Hamas forces launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory and announced the start of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation. Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military equipment and taking over a hundred hostages.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war. The Israel Defense Forces' response operation has been named "Iron Swords," with one of its goals being the annihilation of Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has targeted hundreds of Hamas facilities in the Gaza Strip.
