“What happened is horrifying, as all these people are civilians. They left their homes and reached what they thought was a safe place—a hospital, which is supposed to be a safe haven under international law... And in a moment, they were all killed inside the hospital,” he added.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has blamed the Israeli army for the airstrike. Meanwhile, as reported by AP, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari stated that Israel is verifying reports about the attack on the hospital. Hagari added that he does not know whether the explosion at the hospital was caused by an Israeli army strike or not.
