Peskov Comments on Biden's Statement Regarding Plans to 'Pressure' Putin

Western leaders have long sought to pressure Russia and its President Vladimir Putin, which is not new. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

Thus, the Kremlin representative commented on U.S. President Joe Biden's remarks about the leader of the Russian Federation. In an interview with CBS on October 16, the American leader said he plans to make the world a better place by 'pressuring' Putin 'so that he cannot cause the troubles he has already caused.'

According to Peskov, this idea is not new—both Biden and European leaders have made similar statements. It is difficult for Western politicians to explain why this is necessary; they cannot justify the effectiveness of their efforts in this direction, but sooner or later, taxpayers must be given an explanation as to why their money is being wasted, the press secretary of the Russian Federation pointed out.

Peskov added that 'for now, nothing has worked for Western leaders, and it will not work in the future either.'
