Armenia Ready to Ensure 'All for All' Principle, Says Pashinyan on Prisoners

Armenia is ready to ensure the 'all for all' principle for all prisoners, detainees, and captives. This statement was made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech in the European Parliament.

“We are also ready to closely cooperate in clarifying the fate of missing persons. Currently, 1,016 Armenian citizens are considered missing,” he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia is also ready to cooperate on mine clearance issues. “I want to specifically highlight that back in 2021, Armenia provided all the available maps of the mined areas under its control to Azerbaijan,” he noted.

According to the Prime Minister, Armenia did this unconditionally as a gesture of goodwill; however, Azerbaijan perceived it not as a step towards peace but as an opportunity to escalate aggressive rhetoric against Armenia.

According to Armenian authorities, there are 33 Armenian servicemen and civilians in Azerbaijani captivity. Baku also confirms the fact of 33 individuals being detained. Armenian human rights advocates assert that 80 individuals are currently held captive by Azerbaijan.
