Putin to Hold Talks with Israeli and Palestinian Leaders
Russian President Vladimir Putin will have five international phone calls today, including discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. This was announced by Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov during a conversation with journalists, according to TASS.
“Today we have what you might call a ‘big burst’ of five phone calls. The president has already spoken with Syrian President Bashar Assad and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. Throughout the day, there will also be calls with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Palestinian President Abbas, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu,” Ushakov said.
Prior to his visit to Beijing, Putin is negotiating with the key countries involved in this conflict. “Naturally, he will express our assessments, present our position, and listen to the corresponding remarks from his partners,” Ushakov added.
The Kremlin representative noted that Putin is closely monitoring the unprecedented escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He recalled that the Russian leader has already made public statements on this topic, including during his recent visit to Bishkek. He discussed the situation with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, who was in Moscow last week, and had a phone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
