ICRC Finds Over 100 Citizens in Artsakh and Transports Them to Armenia

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has located more than 100 citizens in Artsakh since September 29 and has transported them to Armenia.

Zara Amatuni, head of communication and prevention programs at the ICRC office in Armenia, informed Azatutyun that the ICRC will continue searching for citizens in Nagorno-Karabakh.

She was unable to provide a specific number regarding how many such requests have been received from relatives, as the data is still being compiled. "I believe we will be able to provide more precise information in the coming days. We are talking about several citizens whose relatives are unable to find them, not only due to the explosion at the fuel depot," stated Amatuni. "At this moment, I can say that unfortunately, the number of people being searched for is not small," she added.

According to her, ICRC representatives are also providing food, water, and hygiene items to the small number of individuals remaining in Nagorno-Karabakh for various reasons. However, the ICRC has not specified how many citizens are in that category.
