13,888 Displaced Children Attend Educational Institutions in Armenia
Currently, a total of 28,861 individuals displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh have registered in primary health care facilities. This was stated today, October 16, by the spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, who presented the support work carried out by the "Humanitarian Center."
Turning to the education sector, Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted that students forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh continue to enroll in educational institutions in Armenia. Of these, 13,888 are already attending schools in Armenia.
The breakdown of the displaced students is as follows: 4,363 in Yerevan, 2,408 in Kotayk, 1,929 in Ararat, 1,227 in Armavir, 820 in Lori, 676 in Gegharkunik, 622 in Aragatsotn, 576 in Shirak, 554 in Syunik, 423 in Tavush, and 290 in Vayots Dzor.
This week, a platform will be launched through which teachers will be assigned to educational institutions outside the competitive selection process.
