U.S. Citizens in Israel and Gaza Seek Assistance
Due to the escalation of the Palestine-Israel conflict, over 20,000 U.S. citizens have sought assistance from the State Department. Among them are hundreds of residents from the Gaza Strip looking to leave the area, reports ABC News.
"More than 20,000 U.S. citizens have requested aid from the State Department amid the backdrop of Hamas attacks," the report states.
According to the network, hundreds of individuals are attempting to escape from Gaza. Additionally, thousands of U.S. citizens located in Israel are also calling for help from American authorities. The publication's source indicated that the State Department estimates the total number of Americans in Gaza to be between 500 and 600, while in Israel, it is approximately 500,000.
