As part of the 54th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the number of countries that have joined the joint statement regarding the severe humanitarian and human rights crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh has reached 40 as of October 11. This was reported by Ani Badalyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, on her social media account.
She recalled the part of the statement that highlighted the mass displacement of the Armenian population from their homes, which occurred as a result of the military operations conducted by Azerbaijan on September 19 of this year, as well as the blockade of the Lachin Corridor for nine months, leading to a grave humanitarian situation.
