Contact with HAMAS May Take Place Next Week, Russian Foreign Ministry

Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, has not ruled out the possibility of contacts with representatives of HAMAS during his upcoming visit to Qatar next week. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the Russian diplomat, issues could be raised during the visit, including the situation regarding hostages held by HAMAS.

"We used to meet with the leadership of HAMAS every time I was there. If they wish, we always maintain contact," the Russian Foreign Ministry official noted.
