Communication Established with Vagif Khachatryan
Communication has been established with Vagif Khachatryan through the Red Cross. This was reported by Vagif Khachatryan's daughter, Vera Khachatryan, in an interview with MediaHub.
“We were able to have a phone call with our father through the Red Cross. There has been no support from the state, and no one has contacted us. We don’t know what to expect from the court... we just believe. We are confident that he will return,” Vera Khachatryan said in the conversation with the media.
It is noteworthy that today, a preliminary hearing took place in the Yasamal District Court of Baku regarding the case of Vagif Khachatryan, who was illegally abducted by Azerbaijani border guards while crossing into the Republic of Armenia through the Lachin Corridor.
The state prosecutor, Mugades Sultanov, requested that the case be referred to the court and that the preventive measure against the accused not be changed. The investigation into the criminal case has been scheduled for October 17.
It should be reminded that Vagif Khachatryan has been charged with fabricated accusations of allegedly committing “genocide” in the village of Meshali in the Khojaly region of Azerbaijan.
