Prime Minister Reports on Number of Displaced Persons Who Received Promised Payments
The humanitarian center of the Armenian government worked faster than planned, and instead of the number announced in yesterday's cabinet meeting, today more than the promised 100,000 payments were distributed to a larger number of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, totaling 29,078 individuals, including 14,593 children. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote this on his Facebook page.
“Thus, as of today, the promised payments of 100,000 drams have been disbursed to approximately 80,000 beneficiaries who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Payments for our other sisters and brothers will be made as they open card accounts. The humanitarian center will, of course, assist everyone in organizing this process as quickly as possible,” he wrote.
