Prime Minister Decides to Punish Artsakh Residents by Not Paying State Employees' Salaries: 'Hraparak'

The silent conflict between the authorities of Armenia and the exiled authorities of Artsakh may erupt due to the non-payment of salaries. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.

It should be noted that following the reports on the meeting held by Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan decided to punish the people of Artsakh by not paying the salaries of state employees, despite previous agreements that they would receive payments by January 1.

For several days now, government media and fake accounts have launched an offensive against the authorities of Artsakh, accusing them of looting the budget, claiming there is no money, and thus residents of Artsakh are not receiving their salaries. This attack has been so intense that yesterday, the Artsakh Information Headquarters announced that there is still around 3.1 billion drams remaining in the Artsakh state budget that has been frozen by the Armenian government.

The headquarters provided a detailed report on expenditures from the budget amounting to approximately 463 million drams following the recent military operations. Furthermore, officials from Artsakh have publicly stated that while the Armenian government approves the Artsakh budget, transfers are made on a monthly basis. It turns out that the September budget was transferred, and then it was frozen. According to a source from the Artsakh government’s information service, the monthly salary fund amounts to 4-4.1 billion drams.
