Over 100 Displaced Healthcare Workers from Artsakh Offered Job Opportunities, Says Avanesyan

The Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan has outlined the steps taken to employ healthcare workers displaced from Artsakh.

“As of January 1 this year, it is mandatory to have a certificate in order to engage in medical professional activities, and we are establishing a transitional period through a legislative proposal,” Avanesyan stated.

According to her, the ministry has already identified the employment needs of over 500 healthcare workers, with an additional 213 involved in retraining programs. The minister reported that 42 healthcare workers have already been certified: “We will also cover their specialization and retraining costs, and all these services will be provided free of charge. They will also have the opportunity to change their specialization to meet the existing demand in the country.”

Furthermore, the minister disclosed that specific job offers have been made to over 100 specialists, emphasizing that these opportunities are primarily within state healthcare institutions, although private medical centers are also participating in the process.
