Netanyahu Was Not Prepared for Hamas Attack, Trump Criticizes Israeli PM

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for being unprepared for the Palestinian Hamas militants' attack. In an interview with Fox News, Trump, who is vying for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential elections, stated that Netanyahu has been "severely affected" by the attack.

"He was not prepared. He was not prepared, and Israel was not prepared either. Under my administration, they didn’t need to be prepared," he said. "Who would have thought that their intelligence couldn't uncover this? Thousands of people were involved in the action. Thousands knew about it and ignored it. That was not good for Netanyahu or anyone else."

Trump also criticized Israel for not taking part in the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, stating that Israel needs to "pivot" following the Hamas attacks. "I will never forget when Bibi Netanyahu ‘pulled us in’. That was horrific. Therefore, when I sometimes see intelligence data, they need to validate it because they are potentially fighting against a very large force. They are potentially at war with Iran... "We were disappointed by that, very disappointed," he stated, referring to Netanyahu's response to Qasem Soleimani’s assassination.

"Bibi tried to profit from that," Trump said with a laugh, adding that it made him feel "not so good."
