Video: Police in Lyon Use Tear Gas Against Pro-Palestine Protesters
Protests have erupted in Lyon, France, in support of Palestine. Police have deployed tear gas against demonstrators.
The conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas escalated on the morning of October 7 with a massive rocket attack on Israeli territory. On the same day, militants infiltrated a music festival, where 260 participants were later found dead.
On October 10, the Israeli Defense Ministry announced it would transition to a "full-scale attack." A Hamas representative pledged to execute one hostage without warning in retaliation for the strikes on the Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that at least 100 Israelis are currently held captive by Hamas.
