Record-Setting Skydiver Dies at 104

The world's oldest skydiver, Dorothy Hoffner, has passed away at the age of 104. When the resident of Chicago turned 104, she made her second and final jump. Her first jump was at the age of 100.

The courageous American woman ascended to an altitude of approximately 4,100 meters with an instructor to enter the Guinness World Records. She succeeded in this endeavor, surpassing Ruth Larson, who made a skydiving jump at the age of 103 in 2022.

“It was great up there. Everything was wonderful. It couldn’t have been better. Age is just a number,” the elderly woman remarked after her jump.
