What is the Situation Among Armenians Living in Israel? - 'Haykakan Zhamanak'
The president of the ‘Nairi’ union in Petah Tikva and editor-in-chief of the ‘Israeli Armenians’ newspaper, Artem Chernamorjan, stated in an interview with ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ that their city was also targeted by rockets last night, where approximately 1,000 Armenians reside.
“Petah Tikva, like other central cities, found itself under rocket attack. At this moment, I do not have information about any casualties. There are no injured among the Armenians,” he noted.
According to him, from last night until now, the southern regions of Israel have been under rocket fire.
“The Israeli army has completely cleared the southern regions from Arab terrorists, but military operations are continuing. In addition, the Jewish special services are working on resolving issues related to the release of hostages,” the media interlocutor elaborated.
Chernamorjan added that currently, the situation in their city is relatively calm, and people are staying in their apartments. Regarding Jerusalem, where many Armenians also live, public figure and representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, Serob Sahakyan, has confirmed that there is also a peaceful situation in that city, and fortunately, there are no casualties among the Armenians.
