Video Published of Israeli Super Tank Destruction and Start of Military Operation

Hamas has released footage marking the beginning of military operations in Israel. The video also shows the destruction of an Israeli "Merkava Mk4" super tank.

It is noted that the rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip towards Israel commenced in the morning. During the first 20 minutes of the operation, 5,000 rockets and projectiles were fired towards Israel.

According to unofficial data, around 550 people have been injured due to the bombardment from the Gaza Strip, with an additional 22 reported fatalities. Of the injured, 77 are in critical condition. There are also 35 reported captives.
