VIDEO: Israel Loses Control of Police Station Amid Clashes

The Palestinian Hamas Islamist movement has initiated military operations against Israel, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Storm." According to the leader of the movement's military wing, Mohammed Deif, over 5,000 rockets and shells have been fired towards Israeli positions since morning.

Hamas accuses the Israeli side of repeatedly storming the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Deif stated that hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and injured due to Israeli actions. Furthermore, he claims that Israel has rejected proposals for prisoner exchanges.

Deif has called for support for the "Islamic resistance in Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon" to assist Hamas. As reported by Al Jazeera, the Palestinian armed movement "Islamic Jihad" has announced that it is joining Hamas's actions.
