EU Should Not Buy Gas from Azerbaijan, as Baku is an Unreliable Partner - European Parliament Head

The European Union should not purchase gas from Azerbaijan, as the country has proven to be an unreliable partner following Baku's military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. This statement was made by the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, while speaking to reporters during the informal EU summit in Granada, as reported by TASS.
“We cannot go from one untrustworthy energy partner to another. This is our position,” she stated.
Earlier, Politico had reported, citing sources, that the EU is unlikely to impose sanctions on Baku due to its attack in Nagorno-Karabakh, considering the dependency on Azerbaijani natural gas supplies.
