Traffic Changes at the Arshakunyats Avenue-Garegin Nzhdeh Street Intersection
Starting from October 9, there will be changes in traffic organization at the Arshakunyats Avenue-Garegin Nzhdeh Street intersection. This has been reported by the Yerevan Municipality.
“The previous 3 traffic lanes from Nzhdeh Street towards the intersection with Sevan Street will be expanded to 4 lanes. The additional lane will operate only to the left, towards Arshakunyats Avenue.
From the Garegin Nzhdeh-Sevan street intersection towards Arshakunyats Avenue and Nzhdeh Square, there will be 4 traffic lanes where 2 will be directed to the left, 1 will go straight, and another will go straight and to the right.
From Arshakunyats Avenue towards the Labor Square and in the opposite direction towards Grigor Lusavorich Street, the previous 4 traffic lanes will be expanded to 5. Traffic will be organized based on 1 right and 4 straight principles.
Due to these changes, stopping and parking of vehicles will be prohibited in the area of approximately 50 meters deep at the Arshakunyats Avenue-Garegin Nzhdeh intersection. The public transport stop on Nzhdeh Street will be relocated 10 meters towards the square. The changes have been made to improve the accessibility of traffic flows,” the announcement stated.
