Valery Bouaïen Calls UN Representatives' Visit to Nagorno-Karabakh a Facade

Member of the French Senate's "Republicans" group and Vice President of the France-Armenia Friendship Group, Valery Bouaïen, has described the visit of UN representatives to Nagorno-Karabakh as a facade.

Bouaïen made this statement during the "C dans l'air" broadcast. He stated, "I think that Armenia needs to be defended today, but not through the facade that is currently taking place (referring to the UN mission's visit to Nagorno-Karabakh). Do you have the list of states selected by Azerbaijan that are participating in the mission? There is no one left there (in Nagorno-Karabakh)."

He declared that France should withdraw its ambassador from Azerbaijan and impose sanctions against Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

For the first time in thirty years, the UN mission organized a one-day visit to Nagorno-Karabakh, which was followed by a statement from the mission. According to the UN mission's announcement, they were "shocked by the sudden decision of the population to leave Nagorno-Karabakh." The statement also mentioned that they found no damages to civil or agricultural infrastructure, nor any fallen livestock or pets.

According to reports in the media, representatives from Turkey, Pakistan, Albania, Hungary, and Russia were included in the UN mission that visited Nagorno-Karabakh.
