We Can Enter a New Era of Peace in the South Caucasus: Aliyev

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has stated that three years ago they liberated their territories, and while discussing the military actions of September, he noted that they restored sovereignty across the entire country. He said, 'The four UN resolutions required the complete, immediate, and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from our territory. However, these resolutions remained on paper for 27 years. We ensured the implementation of these resolutions at the cost of our martyrs' lives.'

Aliyev also expressed that they have thus put an end to the conflict: 'As a result of the resolution of this conflict, we preserved our dignity and restored international law.'

'Today, we can enter a new era of peace in the South Caucasus. This is our position. Cooperation, mutually beneficial projects, and mutual benefits—this is what we are demonstrating today,' announced Aliyev.

It is worth noting that Azerbaijan initiated a large-scale military attack on September 19, which lasted a day, after which the political leadership of Artsakh agreed to fulfill Azerbaijan's demands through the mediation of peacekeepers.
