The Border Strengthens Thanks to All of Us: Sotk Mayor Addresses Artsakh Residents
Sotk Mayor Sevak Khachatryan has reached out to the residents of Artsakh who have been forcibly displaced, emphasizing the need to provide accurate information while directing them to border villages.
“Families living in border villages are currently being offered 16,000,000 drams to build homes from scratch. This inspires hope that families will not have to live in rented or someone else’s homes for much longer, but will instead have their own houses. The government also covers half of the utility payments for those living in these areas.
There are also opportunities for keeping livestock and engaging in agriculture, which will initially help people get back on their feet. Dear Artsakh residents, as someone who lives in a border village, I understand your concerns related to living close to the border very well. But the border strengthens thanks to all of us.
We must be united, helping each other overcome this great difficulty. It is through unity, sharing our pains, and supporting one another that we will be able to rise again,” Khachatryan wrote on Facebook.
