American Colonel Predicts Disaster for Kyiv

Due to the withdrawal of financial support from Washington, the Ukrainian counteroffensive will be halted, and the Russians may take advantage of this to commence their own offensive. This was stated by retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Cedric Leighton during a CNN broadcast.

“It will be a disaster. And the reason for this disaster is that Ukraine is dependent on everything we provide them. In terms of funding, we are the largest donor to the Ukrainians. Regarding GDP, there are other countries, such as the Baltic states, that are giving more money than we are. But in terms of raw materials, we are the largest donor,” he explained.

“As for military equipment, right now Ukraine will not receive a huge portion of weapons; they will not receive Abrams tanks, they will not get what they already have, and they will not receive F-16 aircraft. They need to replace what they have. Some of what they currently possess will soon become unusable. The counteroffensive will indeed falter. And the Russians may simply take advantage of this and move to their offensive.”

“The Ukrainians will have less weaponry to stop them. This is a very dangerous situation that could completely overturn the entire game the Ukrainians started,” he added.

Earlier, it was reported that following the approval of the law by Congress, U.S. President Joe Biden signed a project to fund the government for 45 days, until November 17, which does not include aid to Ukraine.
