120,000 Human Lives Threatened with Annihilation in Just a Few Days: Arman Tatoyan
Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, presented the fact-finding work conducted in Goris and Kornidzor since September 25, aimed at documenting the forced displacement of 120,000 Armenians from Artsakh and the evidence of crimes committed against them.
“After being forced into isolation from the outside world for more than 9 months, faced with starvation, deprived of basic necessities, without heating, and without medicine, under severe psychological pressure, on September 19, they were subjected to an armed attack by Azerbaijani forces. 120,000 human lives were threatened with annihilation in just a few days. What do we have now? An emptied Artsakh, human losses, mutilated human destinies, the loss of ethnic Armenian identity evidenced by the destruction of historical monuments and cultural values, a humanitarian disaster,” he wrote.
