This Photograph Answers the Question of Why We Have Reached This Day

This photograph was taken during the revolutionary days of 2018, depicting how people are playing cards on the flag of the Republic of Armenia.

Perhaps this is the reason, perhaps this is the answer to why we have reached this day, because it turns out that our love for the homeland and our identity is merely in words, limited to toasts or songs.

It seems we express a formal love for our country, yet we do not go beyond words. In kindergartens and schools, we only celebrate our country, our ancestors, the flag, our faith, and the great kings we inherit through songs or toasts around the table, but when it comes to actions, we play cards on our beloved flag.
