Lawyer Mushegh Shushanyan, Who Made Calls for Violence Against Pashinyan, Arrested

Lawyer Mushegh Shushanyan has been arrested. This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

"The court has accepted the investigator's motion to select detention as a measure of restraint for M. Shushanyan. He has been detained for a period of 2 months," the statement said.

The Committee noted that on May 9, 2023, a video titled "The physical destruction of Nikol is completely justified: Mushegh Shushanyan" was published on the YouTube page of the "National Democratic Axis," where he made calls for violence.

On September 22, Shushanyan also made public calls for the use of violence on his Facebook page registered as "Mushegh Shushanyan," justifying such actions. The investigation is ongoing.

It is worth noting that we previously reported that he was arrested on September 28 for making calls for violence against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
