VIDEO: It’s Genocide, Mel Gibson Urges International Organizations to Protect Artsakhtsians

History is tragically repeating itself, as the Armenian people, who have suffered persecution for centuries for their faith, have once again been condemned to ethnic cleansing. This statement was made by Hollywood actor and director Mel Gibson. His video message was published by the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).

“We are witnessing a new genocide. The media is silent on this issue. Armenians are experiencing unimaginable horrors at the hands of the Azerbaijani and Turkish authorities—human losses, forced displacements, famine, and isolation. These are the same Armenians who have lived on this land for generations,” Gibson stated.

He called on the international community to take immediate action to provide the desperately needed assistance to Armenians. According to Gibson, urgent diplomatic efforts must be made to ensure the displaced people return to their homes.

“To the Armenian people who are still suffering, I say do not despair, God is with you,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that Azerbaijan launched a large-scale attack against Artsakh on September 19. Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire along the entire front line, launching missile strikes. As a result of Azerbaijani aggression, there are at least 200 reported deaths and more than 400 injuries.
