UN Sends Additional Aid to Displaced Armenians from Artsakh
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has sent additional aid to refugees forcibly displaced from Artsakh to Armenia. This was reported by Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter).
"The UNHCR convoys, with additional aid, are on the way. We are ready to mobilize further resources to support the humanitarian efforts of the government and people of Armenia," Grandi said.
It was noted that as of 2:00 PM, 70,500 individuals have been evacuated from Artsakh to Armenia. This information was provided by Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the press secretary to the Prime Minister, during a briefing at the government’s Humanitarian Center. According to her, 50,866 of those individuals have been registered.
