Emergency Services Operate in Syunik

The Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting a registration process for persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, which consists of two parts: collecting personal data, processing and identification, and assessing primary needs. Sectoral authorized bodies have access to the database as necessary. The data collection process has been organized with the support of international and non-governmental organizations and in cooperation with local self-government bodies. As of 7:00 PM, 35,350 individuals have been registered. The work is being carried out 24 hours a day.

The staff of the Syunik and Vayots Dzor regional rescue departments of the Emergency Situations Rescue Service are actively involved in providing humanitarian assistance, evacuation and transportation of persons forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and ensuring the livelihoods of the displaced population. Rescuers are participating in other necessary tasks arising from the situation.

The employees of the territorial divisions of the police, police forces, and patrol service are implementing measures aimed at ensuring public order and safety, regulating queues, ensuring road traffic safety, providing escorts, and assisting other agencies working on the ground.
