VIDEO: Our Goal is to Transfer All Patients from Artsakh - Anahit Avanesyan

Currently, 23 patients are at the National Burn Center, where they are undergoing examination and treatment, and ambulances are continuously bringing in new patients. This was stated by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan during a conversation with reporters near the Burn Center.

“Triage is being conducted by a multidisciplinary specialized team here, and subsequently, if necessary, they will be transferred to other medical centers as well, but the main one will be the Burn Center, depending on the nature of the injuries,” she said.

She noted that helicopter transfers from Artsakh are being carried out continuously, and “we must use all our capabilities before the evening and carry out the transfers as quickly as possible.”

“Our goal is to transfer all patients, not only those with burns. You know that there are also patients with other injuries who we have not been able to transfer so far due to road closures,” she said.

The minister informed that the transferred patients are mainly in serious and extremely critical condition, and additional information regarding their conditions will be provided later when doctors summarize the data.

“Our doctors in Stepanakert have been in contact with their colleagues in Armenia all night to stabilize the condition and prepare for the transfers. Now they will receive complete medical assistance here,” she said.

Anahit Avanesyan also reported that narrow specialists from Spain are in Armenia and doctors from Great Britain are expected to arrive, who will assist Armenian doctors.

“Specialists from our other medical centers are also here—intensivists, traumatologists, and they are working together,” she added.
