Urgent Evacuation Required: No Medical Resources Available in Stepanakert

Victims of the explosion need to be urgently evacuated, reports from Stepanakert indicate.

According to the Ministry of Health of Armenia, all possible measures are being taken to ensure the transportation of those injured in Nagorno-Karabakh via air and land routes; however, the nighttime and adverse weather conditions currently make evacuation impossible.

“Armenian specialists, including burn experts and anesthesiologists, are in constant communication with the authorities in Stepanakert. They are providing consultation support regarding the organization of medical assistance to victims near the gasoline storage area along the Stepanakert–Askeran highway,” noted the ministry.

It is reported that active efforts are underway to organize the transport of the injured to Armenia via helicopter.
