We Will Continue the Dialogue with Pashinyan: Peskov
The Russian Federation will continue communications with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and support for the protection of the rights of the people in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced to reporters by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.
"The Armenians are our close people. There are more Armenians living in our country than in Armenia. We will continue to fulfill our functions, our dialogue with the Armenian side, with Pashinyan. We will work to ensure that all rights of the residents of Karabakh are preserved," Peskov stated.
He added that the Russian Federation is opposed to the attempts by countries that lack mediating potential on the Karabakh issue to establish a presence in the region. Moscow hopes that Aliyev’s meetings, including those with Erdogan, will help ensure security and stabilize life in Karabakh, he concluded.
