We Have Withdrawn Our Complaint Against the Arrest of Levon Kocharyan: Legal Team

The legal team of Levon Kocharyan, son of Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan, has made a statement.

“We have just submitted a request to Judge Masis Melkonyan, in which we have withdrawn our complaint against the arrest of Levon Kocharyan. Masis Melkonyan was a member of the Republican Party's council just three months ago and has made numerous political statements related to Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan. We have reasonable doubts about Judge Masis Melkonyan's political bias, and his failure to recuse himself has raised concerns for us. It is more acceptable for us that the complaint is not discussed than it being addressed by a politically biased judge,” they stated.
