Father of Fallen Soldier Arrested for Punching MP Hovik Aghazaryan

The father of fallen soldier Levon Galstyan, Armen Galstyan, has been arrested for two months. The court accepted the request presented by the investigator within the framework of the initiated criminal proceedings.

It is noteworthy that the incident took place on September 21 at the "Yerablur" military pantheon, where a confrontation occurred between members of the National Assembly's "Civil Contract" faction, including Hovik Aghazaryan, Hakob Aslanyan, and parents of deceased soldiers. Following this incident, the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia initiated criminal proceedings through the Malatia-Sebastia division of the Yerevan investigative department.

Armen Galstyan was detained for striking MP Hovik Aghazaryan in the face during the altercation. The investigation has been launched under Articles 195 and 297 of the RA Criminal Code.
