Preliminary Reports Indicate Over 300 Missing and Nearly 300 Casualties, Says Artsakh MP
The people of Artsakh are in panic, struggling with hunger and thirst while the streets are filled with chaos. Due to the lack of communication, there is no information from many villages,” stated Nella Grigoryan, an MP from Artsakh, in an interview with NEWS.am regarding the catastrophic situation prevailing in the region.
“There are children trapped in the blockade, their parents are here, and they have no news of them. Many villages are waiting for the Russians to organize evacuations,” the MP reported, indicating that they did not have information about her grandchild for a long time but have finally managed to locate him.
The MP emphasized that the bodies of the deceased as well as severely injured individuals cannot be transported to Yerevan. “They aren’t even opening the road for people to leave; it is impossible to remain here under these conditions,” she stated.
According to the MP, the information circulating suggests that it seems impossible for them to stay in Artsakh. Grigoryan mentioned that preliminary reports indicate there are over 300 people missing and nearly 300 casualties.
She asserted that this catastrophic state would not have occurred if the authorities had prepared the population for the impending attack. “Pashinyan, you have left us alone, you didn’t even warn us; at least the schoolchildren should not have gone to school that day. The attack occurred just when kids were leaving school; couldn’t you have warned us that there would be shelling?” the MP expressed indignantly.
