Disbandment of the Army, Withdrawal of Units: Current Operations in Artsakh
The Artsakh Information Headquarters reports:
“In accordance with the agreement reached with Azerbaijan on September 20 through the mediation of the Russian side regarding the cessation of military operations, the following activities are currently being carried out:
Withdrawal of Defense Army units from combat positions and their transfer to permanent deployment sites, alongside the disbandment of the army, ongoing search efforts to locate the deceased and missing persons, evacuating severely and critically injured individuals and patients to healthcare facilities in Armenia with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross and Russian peacekeepers.
Importing humanitarian loads, medical supplies, essential goods, and fuel into Artsakh via the Goris-Stepanakert highway, facilitated by the Russian peacekeeping mission, commencement of works for the restoration of electricity supply starting September 24, and organizing political consultations around the future of Artsakh and its people.
We urge our compatriots to remain calm, avoid panic, and refrain from provocations. At this critical moment, the authorities will regularly inform the public about all decisions and developments.”
