Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin Delays the Muron Blessing

The Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin has delayed the Muron blessing and related events. This information was reported by the information system of the Mother Cathedral.

It is noteworthy that it was previously decided to hold the Muron blessing ceremony, which takes place once every seven years, on October 1st.

The Mother Cathedral reports that a meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council took place today under the presidency of the Catholicos of All Armenians. During the meeting, they discussed the question of conducting the Muron blessing ceremony on October 1st.

"Considering the severe situation surrounding Artsakh, it was decided to postpone the Muron blessing and related events," the Mother Cathedral informs.

It was also decided to declare October 1st a nationwide day of prayer for Artsakh, during which a special prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy at the Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin and all churches in Armenia and the diaspora.
