VIDEO: Mass Attack in Russia. Russian Defense Ministry Destroys 22 Drones
On the night of September 21, Ukrainian aviation-type drones attempted to attack four regions of Russia, with the defense ministry reporting the destruction of 22 drones.
"Air defense systems in the Black Sea and the Republic of Crimea destroyed 19 Ukrainian drones, with one each in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Oryol regions," the statement said.
The defense ministry did not report any casualties or damage. Sergey Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, has also not commented on the attempted attack.
Oleg Kryuchkov, an advisor to the head of Crimea, urged residents on his Telegram channel to stay away from windows after hearing sounds from the drone or air defense operations. "If you find debris from drones downed by air defense or landed due to electronic warfare, please contact the special services or hotlines," he wrote.
Meanwhile, Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sevastopol, stated that reports of several drones being destroyed near the city are not reliable. He confirmed the operation of air defense, but clarified it occurred in the 'Crimean zone'. "All services in Sevastopol are ready, and the air situation is under control," the city's leader said.
Andrey Klichkov, the governor of the Oryol region, reported that two drones had attempted to attack energy complex facilities in the Oryol region but were neutralized. According to the regional leader, there are no casualties or damage at this time.
