EU to Take Action Against Azerbaijan If Rights and Security of Artsakh Armenians Are Suppressed: Borrell

The European Union has placed responsibility on Azerbaijan to respect the rights and security of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh and states that it will take action against Baku if these rights are suppressed. This statement was made by the head of the EU's foreign policy service, Josep Borrell.

“Azerbaijan is responsible for ensuring the rights and security of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, including the right to live in their homes without threats or discrimination. Forced displacement of citizens, through military or other means, will receive a decisive response from the EU. The European Union is prepared to take appropriate measures should the situation worsen,” the statement emphasizes.
