«We Are Under Complete Blockade, Even the Russians Are No Longer Risking Letting Us Out: This Is the End» - Village Head
The village of Mets Shen in the Shushi region of Artsakh is under blockade, and evacuations of residents cannot be carried out as shooting continues at this time. This was reported to NEWS.am by the head of Mets Shen, David Davtyan.
“There is no ceasefire in our area. They haven't hit inside our village yet, but they are shooting nearby. We are in an unbearable situation. We managed to evacuate from Yeghtsahogh, but we haven't been able to evacuate from our village; women, the elderly, children... everyone is here. The Yeghtsahogh site is no longer there, it has been leveled to the ground, and there are no people there either. There is uncertainty; we don’t know what to do. We are under complete blockade. We have no casualties or injuries from the village, but we have many casualties in the larger area; we don't know the whereabouts of many,” the village head elaborated.
He pointed out that the advantage of nearby Hin Shen is that there are Russian peacekeepers there. “But you understand, right? Even the Russians are no longer risking letting us out. This is the end. There is nothing beyond this, and there won't be,” Davtyan stated.
