Russian Ministry of Defense on the Situation in Artsakh
The Russian peacekeeping force continues to carry out missions in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. This information comes from a report by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Continuous cooperation is maintained with Baku, Yerevan, and Stepanakert, aimed at preventing bloodshed, ensuring the safety and humanitarian rights of the civilian population, as well as securing the safety of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. Through the mediation of the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, an agreement has been reached with the conflicting parties on the complete cessation of military operations.
The situation is monitored around the clock. Since September 20, 2023, at 13:00, no incidents of ceasefire violations have been recorded between the conflicting parties.
Since the beginning of active military operations, peacekeepers have evacuated more than 3,100 people from the Martakert, Martuni, and Askeran regions of Nagorno-Karabakh. Among them, 1,428 are children. All evacuees are currently with the peacekeeping contingent and are provided with rest and hot meals.
Military doctors have provided assistance to 16 civilians. During the escort of civilians, the peacekeeping convoy came under fire.
