A citizen was detained for selling cigarettes acquired without a duty stamp at a high price.
On September 18, police officers from the Martuni district found cigarettes without a duty stamp in a shop owned by 41-year-old individual entrepreneur M. G. during a check in the city of Martuni. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh.
It was revealed during the inspection that he had acquired 800 packs of 'Varanda' type cigarettes from an individual living in Stepanakert named Avo (details are being clarified) and sold them for 4000 AMD per pack.
During the search of his shop, 56 packs of 'Varanda' type cigarettes without a duty stamp were found. The Martuni Police Department is handling the investigation.
The police urge business entities and individual entrepreneurs to refrain from illegal transactions; otherwise, such individuals will be held accountable under the law.
