Charles Michel's Remarks on the Resumption of Humanitarian Cargo Deliveries to Artsakh
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has welcomed the resumption of humanitarian cargo deliveries to Artsakh. In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) microblog, Michel stated, "We welcome the simultaneous passage of humanitarian goods through Lachin and Aghdam." He emphasized that these operations now need to be regulated.
Michel also addressed the necessity for dialogue between Azerbaijan and Artsakh. "It is also important to start negotiations between Baku and the Armenians of Artsakh regarding their rights and security," said Michel. He underscored that the European Union is ready to provide support.
It is noteworthy that yesterday, on September 17th, it was reported that the authorities of Artsakh decided to allow the transport of humanitarian cargo via the Akna-Stepanakert route, emphasizing that this concerns the simultaneous transportation of foreign-origin humanitarian goods through the Berdzor corridor via the Goris-Stepanakert highway and the Akna-Stepanakert road, using vehicles from the International Committee of the Red Cross. Footage has also been released showing the transportation of humanitarian cargo to Artsakh.
