VIDEO: CEC Press Conference on the Start of Yerevan Elections

The municipal elections in Yerevan are being conducted smoothly, and they are quite competitive. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), Vahagn Hovakimyan.

“All 475 polling stations in Yerevan opened at 08:00. In 460 polling stations, besides representatives from the electoral commission, there were also media representatives, observers, and authorized persons. Overall, there have been 23 cases reported where there were no members of the electoral commission present, and in only 3 instances has the territorial electoral commission made new appointments in accordance with the law,” noted the CEC chairman.
