Over 30 Flights Delayed at Moscow Airports
At least 31 flights have been delayed, and another six canceled at three airports in Moscow—Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo—on Sunday morning. The information has been reported by iz.ru.
According to service data, as of 7:32 AM Moscow time, five flights were canceled and five delayed at Vnukovo, one flight was canceled and 19 delayed at Domodedovo, and seven flights were delayed at Sheremetyevo.
The preliminary information indicates that the cause was an attempted drone attack. Earlier, two drone-type aircraft heading towards Moscow were reportedly shot down over the Istra municipal region.
On the night of September 16, air defense systems shot down drones over the Tver and Kaluga regions. At that time, over 30 flights were similarly delayed or canceled at the capital's airports, as reported by Kommersant.
