I Do Not Consider That It Could Have Affected The Election Results: CEC Chairman on Haypost Notifications
I do not believe that we are dealing with a process that could have an impact on the election results. This was stated by CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan.
It was noted that the notification process is organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs through Haypost.
“All day our hotlines have been continuously informing citizens, providing clarifications, so there could not have been an issue here. Moreover, the addresses of the polling stations and all data are posted on the CEC website with an interactive map. Our partners in the Ministry of Internal Affairs should receive a notification from Haypost regarding how many notifications have not been delivered, so that the payments from the budget are made accordingly,” he noted.
Earlier, it was reported that Haypost did not notify all voters by mail about the voting day, polling station number, and the address and time of the precinct center before the Yerevan city council elections, whereas this is a requirement of the Electoral Code.
