European Experts Recommend Avoiding the Specified Area
The Dutch company "Dyami," specializing in aviation safety issues and conducting risk assessments, announced on September 14 that it advises avoiding the airspace over the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, according to "Hetq."
The company’s website states that Azerbaijan has been amassing significant military forces along the border with Armenia since September 6, coinciding with the halt in progress of peace negotiations. The source also notes that Azerbaijani state media continues to portray Armenia as "Western Azerbaijan."
"Azerbaijan is almost step by step mimicking Russia's behavior until the latter carried out a large-scale invasion of Ukraine," Dyami stated. As a preventive measure, the Dutch side recommends that all types of aircraft avoid the airspace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It emphasizes the necessity of using the "DISKA" and "ADEKI" transition points along the Georgia-Azerbaijan air border instead of entering the airspace of one country from the other (see the first image). It is also mentioned that despite the "BARAD" crossing point not being located on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border (it is on the Georgia-Azerbaijan border but very close to the Armenia-Georgia-Azerbaijan border triangle), it should also be avoided.
